The Charis Bible Institute in Argentina

Three years ago, a Charis Alliance church in Rio Cuarto, Argentina, started a new Bible Institute. They started with approximately 15 students and invited the two other Charis churches in the area.

Each class is 8–16 weeks long, and all the students make it a priority to study the Bible in addition to their jobs. As one of the teachers, Fabrico says, “It is a beautiful experience to see them come to study after such a long day.”

The first two years of the program focus on “being,” while the third year focuses on “knowing,” and the fourth year focuses on “doing.” Students are given a foundation with early classes like “Spiritual Life” and “Overview of Theology.” Then they progress to intermediate classes like “The Scriptures: Interpretation, Application, and Transmission.” They finish with advanced classes like “Christian Leadership.”

Fabrico says, “Several of us have taken online seminars, which makes us value the group discussions, interactions, and peer feedback. The debates are very enriching and encouraging.”

We pray for the Lord to strengthen us as teachers, and give us more time to improve the materials and classes. May God keep us in the grace of illuminating His Word.
